SENtre Activities
SENtre is an Ofsted registered space aimed at provide assistance to special needs parents. We do this in a number of different ways to ensure we are providing an all round service to help your life become a little easier.
The space is 3 large rooms and a garden. All are packed with ways to stimulate your child and keep them learning either alongside staff, the other children or independently. We have small groups and the ability to split the groups up if needed. We use MAKATON (form of sign language), PECs (picture exchange), AAC (communication devices), other visual aids such as timetables and verbal speech to help children navigate their time with us.
You can make use of our holiday clubs and play sessions in Birmingham. We have limited spaces for these as we like to ensure the children have space to enjoy the activities and time out of school. Play sessions are available at any time of the week (except a Thursday) so you can get the most out of your day knowing your child is safe and looked after by our specialist team who are passionate about what they do.
You can access interventions to help enhance your child’s skills. SENtre everything is tailored. We work with with your child in a play therapy style to enhance their language, cognition, academics, social, and play skills. We also offer ABA Therapy services.
Play sessions
we understand that as a parent of a child on the autism spectrum, you need a break too.
Our SEN childcare service lets your children play and gives you the opportunity to take a break or do some work, while knowing your child is in a safe and secure environment with people who know how to take care of children with additional needs. To ensure the safety of the children, we have CCTV cameras and carry out risk assessments, and our building is secured to contain children who are a flight risk.
