Boy “J” Case Study
We had a little boy joined us in January 2022. He had extreme separation anxiety and really struggled if he felt his mom was not with him. He was completely mute and wouldn't sit down to play or eat.
While at SENtre we made him feel extremely safe and worked ono his self-regulation. By April 2022 he was comfortable with playing he began to make more sounds. Once he made more sounds, he was able to shape the sounds into words. A year later and he loves coming to SENtre, he knows all the children's names and gets excited when his friends are at the gate, he knows the staff, he is learning phrase and really showing off his cheeky personality. This has allowed him to express his feelings and his needs, it has been amazing to watch his confidence grow.
