Childcare and Therapy for Children with SEN
SENtre is an autism-friendly centre and support hub for children and young people with SEN. We provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment where children can flourish and reach their potential. We also support parents and carers with individualised support and care tailored to both the child’s needs as well as those of the parents. We help improve the quality of life and empower the whole family unit.

Who are we?
At SENtre, we offer a range of services and activities designed to suit your child’s unique needs, helping them to become more independent, build self-confidence and learn new skills. We provide a range of therapies, educational activities, and social activities that can help your child to grow and develop. In addition, we provide regular parent and carer support meetings to help them learn about their child’s needs and how to support them.
SENtre Therapies
We provide autism behavioural therapy to children with additional needs to help them learn new skills that they can use in their everyday life. These sessions take place at our Birmingham hub or in your home. We can help them speak, get dressed, try new foods, do their schoolwork, use the toilet, and more. These are all things that sometimes struggle with and need a little extra help with.

Parent Training
Our workshops cover practical strategies as well as the therapy of how your child learns. This helps break down tasks, so your child can be more successful and gain confidence.
School Support
We provide spaces for children who need specialised education or may not be in the appropriate education setting and need help to improve their behaviour before going to school.

Who we are
At SENtre, we provide completely bespoke support for children with additional needs. Choose from therapies, activities, home support, or online training. We understand that the journey with autism and ADHD can be a challenging and worrying one for parents and carers, so we’re here to provide support and guidance for the whole family.
Staying safe
At SENtre we have your child’s safety as a high priority. Our rooms and activities have daily checks, our staff our DBS checked and provided with safeguarding training, and we also have a designated safety lead (DSL) to ensure that the children are provided with high level care.

Our wide-ranging services include a range of behavioural therapies and fun activities, all built around nurturing, helping and understanding your children, while also allowing the parents of SEN children a break too. And we’re flexible, offering our service both here at our custom-built and well-equipped centre and through our online hub and in your own home too.
SENtre offers a variety of services at different price points. We try to make our services affordable because it’s our mission to give support to the people who need it the most. We also accept childcare vouchers. To find out exact costs, please see the specific service page, or contact us.
SENtre can support children with more or fewer needs. Some of our children are non-speaking, and some need support with personal skills. Some have Autism, some have ADHD. Some have global developmental delays, and some have Down’s Syndrome. We can help your child if they have PDA or other social, communication, and behavioural challenges. Our therapy sessions are helpful for children with more needs, and our play sessions are open to everyone.
We think it’s important to have open lines of communication about your child. We’ll contact you by email, phone, and also via phone notes if your child attends SENtre. We host parent workshops which are like practical parents’ evenings, so you can learn new skills and support your relationship with your child.
